Perhaps it's the fan advocate in me talking, but I think if a player hurls his helmet into the stands that whoever retrieves it should become the rightful owner of said helmet. The officials at Lucas Oil Stadium don't share that view and made a production out of forcing one fan to return the helmet that Brandon Jacobs cast into the stands in frustration early in the third quarter of the Giants-Colts Sunday night game.
