In “Mike & Molly,” executive producer Chuck Lorre’s latest sitcom for CBS, two traditionally under-represented TV character-types get their day in the sun. Comedian Billy Gardell and “Gilmore Girls” alumnus Melissa McCarthy star as titular characters Mike Biggs, a cop, and Molly Flynn, a fourth-grade teacher. The duo meets cute at an Overeaters Anonymous meeting and begin to embark on a relationship.
